Kim’s Fashion Tips – Belts & Cummerbunds

Hi Everyone, Kim here, I thought I would share a fashion tip with you. BELTS, they are great to add personal style. You can use them to change the length of a dress or tunic, and if you wear one under an edge to edge cardigan it can give the illusion of a smaller waist. You can also use it to give a blouson effect. For me, it is a great place to hold my mic pack.

My niece Ali is wearing a Kim & Co. sleeveless v-neck maxi dress (TSC item # 576543 available August 16th & 17th) with our black cummerbund. It cuts the dress giving more definition to her shape. I am wearing a Kim & Co. sleeveless v-neck faux wrap dress (QVC/UK item # 153310 available August 9th & 10th) with a belt. It also adds a texture to both dresses and breaks up the print with a solid.

Gone are the days of wearing belts only to hold up our pants. They are great fashion accessories and can be worn by any shape or size. From skinny belts to cummerbunds worn anywhere from your hips to right under the bust line will change the look of an outfit, and can be used to tie in your handbag and shoes. You can check online at the shopping channel you normally buy from to see what they have available. I know I will continue to collect new belts whenever I can

My team and I would love to see pictures and hear your comments about your experiences with Kim & Co. items and belts. You can comment here on this blog, on my Facebook page (search Kim Mendelson or go to www.kimco.ca and click on the Facebook link) or send us an e-mail directly to blog@kimco.ca. I can’t wait to hear from all of you.

Love, Kim
